Most of us have a favorite application or game in our PCs that we use alot. Navigating to the folder or drive where that game or application is located feels frustrating sometimes. Instead we make a shortcut of it on a desktop or in a start menu so we can access it more easily when we want to use it. Even navigating to desktop or start menu is also some times time consuming. But guess what there is a more faster way to access the file, by creating a shortcut key for it on the keyboard. You just need to press the keys on the keyboard for that program and it will open immediately.
How to create shortcut keys for a application?
- Create a shortcut of a file that you want to create a keyboard shortcut for.
- Right click on the shortcut and click on "Properties".
- A dialogue window will appear. Click on "Shortcut" tab.
- Now click on the space next to "Shortcut key:" and press the keys on your keyboard that you want to set shortcut keys for that application/program e.g Alt+Shift+P.
- Now Click "OK".
That all. You have successfully set a shortcut key for your favorite application, that you can access directly now by pressing the shortcut keys on your keyboard.
