EA has announced that its online store Origin will go digital download only from 4 April onwards. Which means you wont be provided with a physical disk of the game if you buy it from Origin. You will be just provided with a digital download associated with your EA account.
EA also stated that 99% of its customers purchase the games as a digital download download and they cant continue manufacturing and sell physical disks for only 1% of their customer at least for origin.
EA also cleared that if anyone wants to buy a Physical disk of the game for collection purposes. They have to buy it from other retailers as they will continue providing physical disks of their games to retailers.
