It is a very common virus nowadays with over a million infected flash drives and PCs. It There are various methods to remove this virus. But I will use the simplest and most easy to implement method I have ever found for removal of this virus. This method involves downloading a free software that will do the whole task for you
To remove the autorun.inf virus from you PC. Simply follow the following steps.
- Download the Autorun File Remover Portable 1.5.
- Open it and it will automatically scan the USB flash drives plugged for autorun virus.
- Click on "Remove".
Done. Simple as that, your flash drive is now free from the autorun virus.
NOTE: Your flash drive is free from this virus now. But it is recommended that you reinstall your Operating System to completely remove the virus from your computer too. Otherwise the USB flash drive might get infected again.
