Samsung Galaxy S5 with fingerprint scanner behind the screen

With just one week left for Samsung Galaxy S5 launch date announcement, a recent leak has revealed that Samsung Galaxy S5 will be come a finger print scanner a similar approach to Apple iPhone 5. but instead of the scanner behind the home button like in iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S5 will have it finger print scanner located behind the screen of the phone which means we will have to put our registered thumb or finger on the screen instead of home button.

People familiar with smartphones have mentioned on their blogs that the finger print scanner will work by placing the registered thumb/finger anywhere on the screen and swapping across the screen at a medium speed. A little frustrating method for unlocking the phone as it increases the chances of misread but there are some other awesome benefits and reasons for placing the scanner behind the screen. The users will be capable of using eight fingers and two thumbs. By registering each finger for different application or function to launch.

According to previous leaks Samsung was planning to release Galaxy S5 with iris scanner which will scan the eye of the person to unlock the phone but it was dropped because of the issue of misread in the dark environments.
